I would like to give thanks to the people who believed in me and supported me throughout all the years, Bobby Franklin, Randy Apodaca, Starla Bancroft & Heather Smith { X - wife's } ,, , , Brian Irons , Micky Hunt, my son Bobby Boydstun , and to my beautiful daughter Brielle Dupont .
Born in Killeen, Tx. Moved to Houlka, Ms. in 1973. My mother was a piano teacher and a very talented musician, so I was incouraged into the music groove. I started playing piano at age of 8. Then happily switched to playing guitar and saxaphone at age 13. At one point I was playing bass, saxophone and electric piano in a band and decided to concentrate on just one instrument. Around the age of 17 I traded in the old saxophone for my first bass amp. to Bart Owens, the little brother of Gary Owens, " Alabama's" lead vocalist . I was running lights and sound for a band in Tupelo, Ms. called " Dragonfly ". As soon as I was old enough it was on to Memphis, Tn. 1981. Then I had my first taste of real Rock n Roll and Metal Music. I joined several bands , " Hero" ," Black Diamond "," Defiance ", " Rampage ", Then joined and toured with " Medieval Steel " in 1984. " Medieval Steel " we were in the process of signing a recording contract with Megaforce Records{Johnny Z}, only Megaforce wanted the band to change our name, genre and play a more comercial type { bubble rock } music. With that I parted the band and moved back to Killeen, Tx. in 1985 where I created a band known as Premonition. In 1991 I moved to Austin, Tx. and formed a band called Sovereign Reign. As of 2001, I've been sucked in to the black hole once again of Killeen, Tx. .There will be a music CD very soon. And that excites me more than anything music has been a big part of my life and I've been through hell to stick with it. I wouldn't give up and it's about to pay off for all the pain and hard times I went through. Follow your dreams make them happen !
